U16 Div 1A Hurling League Watergrasshill 2-18 : 2:11 Cobh Watergrasshill U16's got their league campaign off to a good start with a 7 point victory over a very good Cobh team in Watergrasshill on Monday evening. In a tight opening quarter, the game was end to end with both teams trading scores and the Hill team holding a 1 point advantage at the first drinks break.  After the drinks break, Watergrasshill took the most of their chances to stretch the lead to 5 points at half time (0:10 to 0:05). The second half saw goal opportunities for both teams, with Joseph O' Riordan and Brendan Lehane finding the back of the net for the Hill.  Two goals from Cobh saw a tight finish, who piled on the pressure in second quarter of the second half. Saves from the Hill keeper, as well as great defending from the full and half back lines kept the visitors at bay, with the Hill running out winners on a scoreline of 2:18 to 2:11.
