GAA WHere We Belong   16/04/2019

Subject: New ‘GAA – Where We All Belong’ / 'CLG – Tá Áit Dúinn Uilig Ann’ campaign

A chara,

Today we’re delighted to launch the new ‘GAA – Where We All Belong’ / ‘CLG – Tá Áit Dúinn Uilig Ann’ campaign. Inspired by our GAA Manifesto, it celebrates the cut and thrust of GAA life and the people who make our GAA what it is.

The Irish language version was translated and voiced by the GAA’s Irish Development OfficerJamie Ó Tuama.

Both films will go live this afternoon online and on TV and we’d ask that you continue to show your support by sharing these videos on your own web and social channels using #GAABelong.

Here’s suggested copy to accompany the post in English and Irish.

We all need somewhere that belongs to us all.

This is a celebration of our #GAA and of all the people who make it what it is.

Tá áit ar leith uainn uilig, áit ar linne uilig í.

Ceiliúradh é seo ar CLG sin againne agus ar na daoine uilig a mhúnlaíonn é.

Photography from the campaign is used in the web and social assets – see attached. We’d ask that you also switch over your web banners and Facebook Covers to the variety of options attached.

The campaign features members from clubs across the four provinces.

  • Michael and the senior hurling team from Moycarkey-Borris GAA Club.
  • The Cunningham family and fellow supporters from Park/Ratheniska GAA Club.
  • Frank, our Toome and Monaghan GAA player alongside his teammates.
  • Katie, our camogie player from Na Fianna.
  • Padraic and Ilena, father and daughter from Moycullen GAA Club.
  • Committee members from Kilmacanogue GAA Club.
  • The Killenaule juvenile team and their coaches Declan and Imelda.

The music is by Irish musician, Colm Mac Con Iomaire. The track is called ‘The White Boat-Liam O’Reilly / An Bád Bán-Liam Ó Raghallaigh’ from his 2015 album ‘And Now For The Weather / Agus Anois An Aimsir’.

The endframe is made of up of a collection of GAA clubs from home and abroad.

Radio will have scripts that celebrate the role of administrators, like the Club Secretary, as well as our most dedicated supporters.

We would be delighted if you continued to support and share ‘Where We All Belong’ (#GAABelong) in all that you do.
