Reeling in the year

As we have come to the end of another, COVID interrupted hurling year, next week we’ll kick of our “reeling in the year” slot where we’ll look back at the year that was for Cumann Iománíochta, Cnocán Na Biolraí. In a year where we lost some close friends and great club members there were also some highlights and the gradual return to the playing fields to enjoy the sports we all love so much. Each week, we’ll recall 2 months of 2020 and spotlight a team or two from our club in recognition of the community that goes to make up our great club.

2021 AGM – Save The Date

              Please note, our AGM (originally scheduled for November 25^th) has now been deferred. Our top priority remains the safety and well-being of all our members, families and the greater community and in light of the current covid situation, we have decided to reschedule to a later date. All members are invited to forward their nominations or motions for consideration to secretary.watergrasshill.cork@gaa.ie. Further details regarding a time and venue will be posted in the coming weeks. As always, new members are more than welcome to attend the AGM as new neighbours in our village are very much welcomed and encouraged to become part of our GAA family.

Lotto

There was no winner of the Lotto Jackpot this week. Numbers drawn were 3, 24, 25 & 29. Lucky dip winners are Donal O’Callaghan, Pat & Ger Carmody, Stephen Turpin and Fiona Maher. Congrats to you all. Next week's jackpot is a fantastic €10,800 and draw will take place Monday 29^th November. Tickets are on sale in some of the village businesses, like The Hut Bar, The Fir Tree, Centra & Johnny's Shop. Tickets can also be purchased on-line via our club website (www.watergrasshillgaa.ie). The Club would like to take this opportunity to thank all our members and supporters of the Watergrasshill GAA Club Lotto. The Club Lotto is a vital source of income for the running of all our teams within the Club and for future development of our facilities, so we ask you to please support it if you are in a position to do so. Remember, if you’re not in you can’t win.

Pitch Signage & Advertising Opportunity

As we enter a new decade, we do so with great optimism and excitement here at Watergrasshill GAA Club. Later this decade we will celebrate our centenary year, which will be a special milestone. While it's important to celebrate the past and the history of the club, it’s also important we look forward to the future. With this in mind, the club will shortly be undertaking a development project, to prepare the club for the future and further position ourselves at the center of our community. Part of this project will be the development of our existing club grounds. To that end we will endeavor to raise a revenue stream from advertising, while giving businesses the opportunity to advertise their services and reach a wider audience within our community. With the playing numbers on the increase our facility will be a busy spot over the coming years, and we would love to have your name and business positioned in the hearts and minds of all those who visit on a weekly basis. We are offering advertising space via pitch signage, 3000mm wide x 750mm high. These are a 5-year gloss laminate, flash mounted to 0.2mm skin diabond sign. Bumper Christmas Raffle

This year we are delighted to announce the return of our Watergrasshill GAA Christmas Raffle. Top prize this year is two tickets to a Premier league match including flights and accommodation. We have 15 other prizes on offer including €500 cash, €250 hotel voucher and many more fantastic prizes, with more being added every week.
