Nearly all our teams are now back training for the coming season. If you want to know days and times please reach out to any club member who will assist you. New players are welcome and of course we would love to see more parents get involved in 2019. There is a great social side to the club when you get involved and any help is always greatly appreciated. Best of luck to all our club teams in 2019.

There will be registration mornings held for parents of Juvenile member’s if they wish to chat to any coaches in the coming weeks, dates and times to be shared in due course. We would love to see new members from the community join this year and thank you as always for your support.

Rebel Og Award

We are delighted to announce we have been awarded the Silver Coaching Benchmarking Award by Cork GAA. This recognition is testament to the fantastic work taking place in our schools, hurling, football, ladies football & camogie clubs. This would not be possible without the many great volunteers who give great service to the clubs and to the parents who encourage their children in our community to come and participate. The award recognizes the coaching plans for kids, the coach education within the clubs, the organisation of the kids camps and the young referees who support many of our underage games. Thank you to all involved and congratulations on a well-deserved recognition, for the great work being done.

Garda Vetting

All officers, mentors, coaches, first aiders are asked to make sure their Garda vetting is up to date. This is a legal requirement for coaching and any activities regarding underage players. Any queries please contact Aine O Leary or Richard Gardiner, our child welfare officers.

Cul Camp 2019

Our Summer Cul Camp will take place this year from Monday 15th July. Please note, there will be NO on-line bookings this year but rather a registration evening, date and time to be confirmed. Bring on the summer!

Club Social

On Saturday March 2nd we are hosting a club social together with Watergrasshill Ladies Football and Camogie club, at the Vienna Woods Hotel. It’s a night very much focused on getting our community together for a social event but also an occasion whereby we want to acknowledge and recognize some successes our adult men and ladies teams had in 2018, namely,  Junior B Men’s County & East Cork Championship Titles, Junior B Men's County League Title,  Ladies Camogie Junior A Championship & League Cup and the Ladies Junior Football Championship Title. On the night we also want to honour the victorious 1968 Watergrasshill Junior B East Cork hurling Champions, captained by the great Eamon Ryan.
Time to dust off those dance shoes and throw some shapes to the sounds of "The Love Bugs" followed by DJ. Tickets: €35 and on sale now from local establishments or ask any club committee member’s.

There was no winner of the Lotto Jackpot this week. Numbers drawn were 4,14,23,30. €30 lucky dip winners are Barry Joyce, Ann O Farrell, Jen Sheehan and Pips. Congrats to you all. Next week's jackpot is €12,250 and draw will take place in The Hut. Scór na nÓg

Well done to David O’Connor who represented Watergrasshill GAA in the East Cork region of Scór na nÓg in Lisgoold Sunday last, having qualified from last weekend to represent our club today. He played the concertina and did himself, his family and our club proud. Thank you David and the O’Connor family for representing us.

OT Community Walk

Week 4 of our Operation Transformation community walk continues this Thursday night 14th February. What better way to spend your valentines night but out for a walk with your better half. So grab him or her, your Hi-Viz and comfy shoes and join us at Watergrasshill NS at 6.55pm for a 7pm start. There has been a great reaction to this since we started and it’s great to see so many kids out each Thursday night getting fresh air and exercise. Please come along and enjoy the company of friends and neighbours.
